Choosing an outlet for your style rain gutter

1. As with any gutter outlet you are installing, measure accurately. You only get one shot to put this hole in your gutter!
2. Cut your hole for a snug fit. This will ensure an easier and better soldering job.
3. Make sure your solder job will be watertight since this is the bottom of the gutter.
4. Don't scorch the metal with a soldering iron or torch. This will weaken the bottom metal of your rain gutter.
5. File down any extra solder that will become a catch-all for debris.
